Always throw a camera in the bag....

I  had no plans for photography yesterday. The weather had been poor all day and the forecast wasn't anything special. Instead I cooked a late dinner. However as I cleared up the plates I could see that the sky was clearing and some late light was hitting the clouds. Immediately my mind went into "photo plan" mode and I was working out where I could get to and would the light have gone before I did? In the end I decided it was too late so I just headed out to walk the dog somewhere. However, at the last minute, I grabbed my pouch with the Lumix G9 and two cheap kit lenses-the Panasonic 12-32 and the Olympus 40-150. That tends to be my small light, "not too serious" kit. I threw the pouch in a messenger bag and drove off to walk the dog at a nearby wood. As I drove I could see that the last rays of sun were hitting the underside of the clouds left in the sky, turning everything pink and purple. I began cursing that I wasn't in the right place to make the best
